Time in Site Wide Activity is incorrect

Environment: WPMU 2.8.4a + BuddyPress1.1.1

My server is at UTC-6 area, and I'm on UTC+8, I've set my local time to my city in Settings/General? via admin cp, but these "since" time on homepage in Site Wide Activity widget are totally messed up, it seems those from blog are correctly calculated, but those from forum are -14 hours offset, makes the activity stream line up incorrectly, I know it's a very old problem, and it was said after the first 24-hour of new installation, the problem should fixed itself, but it seems to me, it did fix itself partially, is there any fix out there?

I'm not sure if I make myself clear, I've snap a shot, you can see here, I've drop some lines on the image for illustrating the problem.

Did the bug we had where server time != WPMU time get fixed, or was that a WPMU issue?

I'm having this issue of wrong time offset. Have I to understand that after 24 hours running the site it will solve itself?
